The Astera AX3 Lightdrop is a compact, battery-operated IP65 RGBW LED puck designed for stage lighting and corporate events. Use it as an uplight, a hanging or standing spotlight, or to add color and accents inside translucent objects, truss, and set pieces. Despite its small size, it delivers high brightness with long battery runtime and reliable wireless control for quick event setups.
Event-ready output in a compact puck
With a 15 W RGBW LED engine, the AX3 produces 430 lumens at 3200K and delivers 1,300 lux at 2 m (3200K). A 13° beam angle (22° field angle) helps create defined highlights and punchy uplight looks, and the variable strobe range (0 to 25 Hz) supports dynamic effects when needed.
Battery power and charging workflow
The AX3 is built for cable-free placement, offering up to 20 hours of battery runtime. Charging time is nominally 7 hours via 5 VDC, 2.5 A input (5.5 mm x 2.5 mm connector). Battery longevity is rated at 70% capacity after 300 cycles, supporting frequent rental and event use.
Wireless DMX control
For streamlined control in professional environments, the AX3 includes a built-in CRMX receiver. Wired DMX is not supported, making it a strong fit for wireless DMX workflows where fast deployment and clean staging are priorities.
Durable, portable construction
Rated IP65 for dust and water resistance, the AX3 is suitable for demanding event environments. Each unit weighs 0.68 kg (1.4 lbs). Dimensions are 120 mm x 59 mm x 114 mm (with bracket) or Ø95 mm x 59 mm (without bracket).
