SDI to Analog Conversion for Legacy Video Gear

Designed for SDI environments that still rely on analog endpoints, this mini converter takes a single SD, HD, or 1.5G-SDI input and outputs analog video in NTSC, PAL, s-video, and component formats. For SDI distribution workflows, it also provides an SDI loop output so you can pass the SDI signal through while simultaneously feeding analog equipment.

Redundant SDI Input and Auto Format Detection

For more resilient signal chains, the unit includes an ALT SDI input with automatic switch-over if the main SDI input fails. Multi-rate support with auto detection helps simplify setup when switching between SD, HD, and 1.5G-SDI sources.

Audio De-Embedding for Analog and AES/EBU

In addition to video conversion, audio can be de-embedded from SDI to 2 channels of professional balanced analog audio via standard 1/4 inch jack connections, or to 2 channels of balanced AES/EBU digital audio. SDI audio is supported at a television standard sample rate of 48 kHz and 24-bit.

The Mini Converter SDI to Analog supports common SD and HD standards, including 525i59.94 NTSC, 625i50 PAL, 720p50/59.94/60, and 1080 formats up to 1080p30 (including PsF and interlaced variants). It supports YUV 4:2:2 sampling and color precision, includes reclocking, and can be updated and configured via USB. SDI compliance includes SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 296M, SMPTE 372M, SMPTE 424M level B, SMPTE 425M level B, ITU-R BT.656, and ITU-R BT.601.
