Beam Tools for Aerial Looks, Texture, and Spread

The Hydro Beam X12’s carefully curated selection of beam-shaping tools deliver the functionality that lighting designers need, while allowing the fixture to remain compact and agile. It features 14 colors + white, including UV, CTO (3200K) and CTB (6000K), with support for split colors and bidirectional scrolling, so you can build fast, high-contrast chases and two-tone aerial effects. A static GOBO wheel features 16 patterns (plus open) optimized for aerial effects, including four beam reducers, and offers GOBO shake and bidirectional GOBO scrolling effects for motion and texture in the air. The fixture also includes motorized focus (with 16-bit fine focus), a Frost Filter to create a wash effect when you need more coverage, and two rotating prisms (6-facet linear and 24-facet circular) that can be rotated in either direction and overlayed for layered, multi-beam looks.

Control, Connectivity, and Precision Movement

For integration into professional lighting systems, the Hydro Beam X12 is DMX512 and RDM compatible, with 2 DMX channel modes (14/18) and configuration available via RDM. It supports wired DMX via 5-pin DMX In/Out and also offers WiFly EXR wireless DMX onboard (WiFly EXR Transceiver sold separately). Movement is built for accurate programming with 540-degree pan and 270-degree tilt, each with 16-bit fine control, and output control includes 0–100% smooth dimming, selectable dimmer curves, and variable strobe effects with speed control. A color LCD display with a 4-button menu simplifies on-fixture setup, and a USB port allows firmware updates.
