The Martin MAC Ultra Wash is a high-output LED moving head wash fixture built for touring, concerts, TV studios, and performing arts, combining a 1150 W, 6000 K proprietary LED light engine with a bright, even field that stays consistent show after show. It delivers 63,500 lumens from a 220 mm front lens and provides an incredibly fast zoom range for everything from tight beams to wide stage coverage.

Its 50,000+ hour light engine continues Martin’s long line of innovation, giving designers and rental inventories a reliable platform for sustained output and repeatable color. The fixture also supports high-impact looks with rapid movement (540° pan and 268° tilt) and a low-noise cooling system with user-selectable output versus sound level control, making it suitable for both loud arenas and quieter broadcast environments.

Output, Optics, and Zoom Control

The MAC Ultra Wash is designed to cover large areas with authority, offering up to 90,000 lumens at the light engine, 63,500 lumens fixture output, and a peak intensity of 5,000,000 cd. The optical system includes native 1:7 zoom (6.8° to 47.5° beam angle) plus 1:10 Zoom (hyper zoom), letting you quickly match trim heights, stage sizes, and camera framing without swapping fixtures or adding diffusion.

Color Rendering and Beam Shaping

For flexible, production-ready color, it features CMY color mixing, color temperature control from 6000 to 2850 K, and a color wheel with six interchangeable dichroic filters, including a Spectral Enhancement Filter. Variable CTO and additional color and spectral correction filters help balance across different rigs and venues, while the motorized frost softens the field for smooth washes. An iris and variable edge control add precision when you need tighter, more defined looks.

Dimming, Effects, and Pixel Mapping

High-resolution dimming supports 0 to 100% continuous control with strobe effects and a choice of four dimming curves, making fades and camera-friendly cues easier to dial in. The MAC Ultra Wash also includes two ranges of pre-programmed FX for fast programming, plus P3 videomapping of fixture color and/or intensity across 10 segments for segmented effects and dynamic looks.

Build and Installation Considerations

Built for demanding production environments, the fixture uses 84 x 20 W white LEDs and is engineered for efficient, quieter operation. For planning trims and side-by-side rigs, note the minimum center-to-center distance of 810 mm (31.9 in.). Dimensions include a 642 mm head length, 468 mm base length, 312 mm base width, 520 mm width across yoke, and up to 867 mm overall height. Total weight is 39.0 kg (86.0 lbs.).
