The NEW ETC Gio @5 Console, 24,576 Outputs is a compact, portable lighting control console in the Eos family, designed for professional programming and playback in venues that need full Eos capability in a smaller footprint. It delivers the high-end control workflows found on larger Eos consoles while keeping external monitors and accessories optional, which is ideal for tight FOH booths, touring carts, and multi-room facilities.
Designed for Eos programmers and growing teams
The console uses the same full-function, backlit keyboard as the Eos Programming Wing and Gio console, helping experienced Eos users transition quickly while providing a scalable platform for newer programmers building skills that translate to larger Eos systems. Partitioned control and support for up to 99 discrete users make it practical for shared venues, education environments, and organizations with multiple operators.
Output, channel capacity, and flexible playback
For system sizing, Gio @5 provides 24,576 outputs and 32,768 control channels. Playback is built around a master playback pair with motorized 60mm faders, plus five 60mm motorized faders with 200 pages for configurable cue lists, submasters, grand masters, IFCB Palette/Presets lists, or individual instances, supporting fast changes between shows, spaces, or programming styles.
Touchscreen UI, encoders, and programming tools
An integrated 18.5 inch multi-touch LCD touchscreen supports display, direct selection, and context-sensitive control. A central information area (CIA) provides access to an electronic alpha keyboard, Hue + Saturation color picker, gel picker, browser, and other controls, and four force-feedback encoders provide tactile control of non-intensity parameters. The desk also supports a configurable high-density channel display with format and flexi-channel modes, user-designed interactive magic sheets, and effects tools for dynamic relational and absolute progressive behavior.
Color, palettes, and effects workflow
Programming tools include four discrete palette types (IFCB), Presets that function as an “all palette,” and support for up to six abstract color spaces, tinting, spectrum, and fade path tools. These capabilities are useful for keeping looks consistent across rigs, speeding up updates, and building repeatable effects and transitions.
Networking, protocols, and integration
Gio @5 supports ETCNet2 and Net3 (powered by ACN), ArtNet, and Avab UDP output protocols, and includes two individually configurable Ethernet ports. Integration options include multiple MIDI and/or SMPTE TimeCode inputs, MIDI In and Out, Analog/Serial Inputs, and OSC transmit/receive, making it suitable for synchronized playback, show control, and third-party system interfacing. A Virtual Media Server function supports pixel-mapped effects, images, and animations.
Show compatibility and language support
For venues migrating from older systems or consolidating control platforms, the console supports show import from Obsession, Express, Expression, Emphasis, Congo, Cobalt, Grand MA1, Grand MA2, Safari, and Strand 500/300 Series. Multiple language support includes English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).
