The Clay Paky Scenius Profile is a high-output framing profile fixture built for professional stage, broadcast, and touring rigs that need clean gobo projection, flexible beam shaping, and dependable control. Its purpose-designed optical reflector is engineered to keep projections uniform across the full beam opening, helping reduce the hotspot look common in many spotlights.

Precision Beam Shaping and Framing

The framing system uses four independent, overlapping blades to create shapes of all sizes, not only quadrangular but also triangular. It operates simultaneously on four different focal planes, and the exclusive “curtain effect” allows gradual total closure of the shape using any one of the four blades. The resulting shape can be rotated up to 90°, either to adjust orientation on the fly or keep it fixed as the light beam moves.

Optics, Color, and Effects for Production Work

With an 8° to 50° zoom and a focus tracking system, the Scenius Profile is designed to maintain consistent focus through zoom changes, which is especially useful for fast cueing and tight-to-wide transitions. The fixture provides a 6500 K output color temperature with very high CRI for accurate rendering on camera and on stage. Color and texture options include a CMY mixing system with linear CTO, a 7-color wheel, 14 gobos (6 rotating plus 8 fixed), a rotating prism, a 16-blade fast iris, variable “soft edge” frost, and variable flood frost.

Control and Road-Ready Operation

For integration into modern lighting networks, it supports Art-Net and RDM. Output can be run at 1400W or 1200W to balance intensity, heat, and lamp life as required. A very precise 0 to 100% dimmer plus fast stop and strobe effects help the fixture sit comfortably in both theatrical fades and concert-style looks. Designed to be quiet, reliable, and road-ready, it weighs 41 kg (90 lbs).
