New features available on the L5 include a PowerCON power connector and an on-board battery input that permits industry-standard batteries to power the L5 without any sacrifice in terms of features or light output. The resulting increase in portability opens up whole new application areas, giving productions with the L5 the tremendous freedom to move and work fast. With on-board DMX in/out, RDM implementation, and a USB Mini connection for firmware updates, the L5-C fits cleanly into modern studio and rental workflows where remote control, addressing, and maintenance matter.

Color Control for Mixed Lighting

Fully tuneable from 2,800 K to 10,000 K, the L5-C makes it easier to match practicals, daylight, or other fixtures on set without gels. Plus/minusgreen correction helps fine-tune color when working with fluorescents or LED walls, and RGB+W color selection with hue and saturation control supports creative color effects when you need them.

Efficiency and Output

The L5 is approximately 45% brighter than a 300 watt tungsten Fresnel, but only consumes 115 watts (nominal). It is fully dimmable and designed to deliver high color rendering with low power draw, a practical advantage when running on limited circuits, generators, or battery systems.

Rigging and Operating Options

When compared to the L7, the L5 is half the weight and size. Fan mode selection supports quieter operation when needed, and the on-board battery connection (23 to 36V DC) provides flexible powering options for remote or space-constrained placements.
