Package of 2. The NEW Koto Lamp DIS-4H UV Block (Pkg of 2) includes two DIS-4H UV-B single-ended metal halide lamps designed for stage, studio, and film fixtures where high output and accurate color are essential.

Koto Electric is considered to be the pioneer of high-quality specialty lamps for stage, studio and film. Di-Lite metal halide lamps are about 3 times brighter than comparable tungsten-halogen lamps, with lumen efficiency of 85-108 lm per watt. They also generate considerably less heat than tungsten-halogen lamps. These metal halide lamps have a Color Rendering Index of more than 90, making them a great combination of high efficiency and high color rendering for color-critical applications. 

Metal halide lamps require less power consumption than tungsten-halogen lamps, while allowing a smaller fixture size due to their large lumen package per watt. In practice, that means you can achieve a strong, daylight-balanced look with less power draw and reduced heat load on set, helping improve comfort and reduce strain on surrounding gear.

Performance and Light Quality

The DIS-4H UV-B is a 70V, 400 watt metal halide lamp rated at 32,000 lumens with a 6,000K color temperature for a crisp, daylight-style output. With a CRI of more than 90, it is well suited to color-critical work such as broadcast, studio interviews, product shots, and any application where skin tones and color reproduction matter.

Fitment, Dimensions, and Service Life

This UV-blocking lamp has a 750 hour lifespan and measures 110mm by 23mm. It is a single-end lamp that uses GZZ9.5 prongs, making it a straightforward replacement for fixtures that specify DIS-4H UV-B lamps and the GZZ9.5 base type.
