The ETC ColorSource Hardwired DMX Relay combines power sequencing and DMX/RDM data distribution in a portable, plug-and-play format for lighting systems. When it receives DMX data from your console, its internal sequencing routine automatically staggers turn-on times across relays, helping reduce inrush-related issues when bringing multiple fixtures online, while also providing hardline DMX to connected fixtures.

Power Sequencing for Cleaner System Startups

Built around a portable two-pole air-gap relay, the ColorSource Relay is designed for controlled power-up in the field. Auto sequencing adds a turn-on delay to each relay so no two relays in a system switch on at the same time, a practical benefit for temporary rigs and distributed installs where multiple relays may be energized together.

Hardwired DMX Input with DMX/RDM Pass-Through

This hardwire DMX input version receives hardwired DMX (input) for relay activation, supports RDM feedback and configuration, and passes through DMX/RDM via the five-pin XLR (output) connector. This makes it straightforward to integrate into standard DMX cabling layouts while maintaining fixture communication for addressing, status, and configuration workflows where RDM is in use.
