The NEW Swisson DMX and RDM Installation Splitter Terminal (XSR series) is a reliable DMX and RDM splitter and booster designed to process and distribute DMX/RDM signals with a high level of reliability for professional installations.

Reliable Signal Distribution for Permanent Installs

The XSR has a specially designed power supply which ensures safe operation even under harsh mains conditions. All ports are individually optically isolated and well protected against transient over voltages, helping protect connected fixtures and controllers while keeping signal paths stable across an installation.

DMX and RDM Support, Plus a Clean DMX-Only Mode

The unit boosts and regenerates DMX and RDM to maintain signal integrity over longer cable runs, while reducing reflection problems that can cause flicker or intermittent data. In the "DMX-only" mode all non-DMX data is filtered out and a clean signal without RDM or other protocols is generated, which is useful when feeding legacy DMX equipment or segments where RDM traffic is not desired.

RDM Discoverable for Easier Troubleshooting

The XSR splitters are "discoverable", and are visible on RDM controllers. This gives the user an better overview of the installation and helps with trouble shooting, especially in multi-universe or distributed systems where identifying devices quickly matters.

Connection and Housing Options Across the XSR Range

The XSR series is available in multiple connection types and form factors to suit different workflows, including 5-pin and 3-pin XLR models, RJ-45 and pluggable screw terminal models, plus installation, box, rack and double rack housings. Depending on the model, it provides 5 DMX outputs per universe (10 outputs on the double-rack) and includes built-in line termination to support proper end-of-line practice.
