The NEW Pathway PWINF 12-Channel Contact Closure DMX Interface provides a flexible way to solve common DMX control challenges by turning DMX512 levels into reliable, low-voltage switching. It delivers DMX512 control over 12 form-C relays in a compact, DIN-rail mountable format, making it a practical choice for architectural lighting, show control, and system integration racks where clean wiring and serviceability matter.

DMX-Controlled Relay Switching for Control and Integration

Each relay may be independently wired for normally-open (NO) or normally-closed (NC) operation, and can be configured as momentary or maintained. This makes it well-suited for tasks such as triggering external devices, interfacing to automation or pilot relay inputs, and switching signal-level circuits from a lighting console or DMX controller. A convenient DMX Input Signal Present output relay is provided, with normally-open or normally-closed options, to support status monitoring or downstream logic.

Configuration and Diagnostics

The Pathway 12-Channel Contact Closure is field configurable through its front panel, or through RDM. You can set the DMX512 start address and select from 9 operating modes locally or remotely, and fine-tune behavior using a user-configurable global trigger threshold. For fast commissioning and troubleshooting, indicator LEDs show Power, Processor, DMX Input, and per-relay status. A DMX line termination switch is included to help properly terminate the data line when this unit is at the end of a DMX run.

DIN-Rail Installation and System Wiring

Built for control panels and enclosures, the unit mounts to standard 35mm x 7.5mm DIN rail and is designed so data and power can be easily daisy-chained to other DIN Interface units. Connections include one DMX Input and one DMX Thru for straightforward integration into an existing DMX512 chain.
