NEW Blizzard SkyBox EXA

The NEW Blizzard SkyBox EXA is an LED PAR fixture built for uplighting, stage wash, and event production where fast setup and cable-free placement matter. It packs 7x 15W RGBAW+UV 6-in-1 LEDs, a built-in Skywire wireless DMX receiver, and an internal Lithium-Ion battery system for clean installs and flexible positioning.

Output, Color, and Control

The SkyBox EXA supports 6/7/8 and 11-channel control modes, so it can integrate with a wide range of DMX controllers, from simple to advanced. The built-in 4 character/4 button LCD control panel provides access to master/slave, auto mode, fade, strobe settings, manual color adjustment, sound active mode, wireless ID settings, IR remote control mode, and power output mode settings. It also offers variable electronic dimming and strobe, built-in color and chase macros via DMX, and RGBAW color mixing in standalone mode, giving you quick looks without a console when needed.

Battery Power for Events and Temporary Installs

The SkyBox EXA's Lithium-Ion internal battery system lets you choose from three power output modes, High Power, Medium Power, or Battery Saver Mode, so you can balance brightness and runtime for the room. With average usage of color fades in High Output Mode, you can expect battery life up to 10+ hours, color jumping 5+ hours, or full on for 3+ hours. Normal recharge time is 4 hours, and charging can be done while the fixture is in use.

Wireless DMX and Hard-Wired Connectivity

For streamlined rigs, the built-in Skywire wireless receiver provides reliable wireless communication for over 1000 feet, line-of-sight. It uses 512 auto-assigning frequencies in 7 groups (color-coded by an LED indicator), allowing up to seven systems to run simultaneously in the same space, completely free of interference. A Blizzard Lighting controller with built-in Skywire (such as the KONTROL 5 Skywire), a wiCICLE transmitter, or a Lightcaster wireless transceiver (all sold separately) are required to act as a DMX transmitter for your lighting setup. You can also run standard cable using the fixture's hard-wired 3-pin DMX in/out connections.

Mounting, Power, and Practical Hardware Details

Built for real-world production use, the fixture includes dual mounting brackets for positioning flexibility and a super-quiet variable-speed internal fan. On the rear panel, you get a main power switch, an LED-illuminated battery gauge (red during charge, green when fully charged), and PowerCon compatible AC power In/Out connectors for convenient power handling. The SkyBox EXA also features flicker-free constant-current 400hz LED driving for camera-friendly operation.
