The City Theatrical DMX Iris is a simple way to motorize an ETC Source Four so you can change beam size on cue as an effect in your show. Use it to tighten or widen the pool of light on stage, or to reveal a gobo as the iris opens. Built on City Theatrical’s proven AutoYoke Iris design, it uses incolloy leaves and brass fittings to withstand heat and corrosion, and is driven by a stainless steel chain for reliable movement.

DMX Control and Addressing

One DMX channel is used, and the unit can be addressed as any DMX dimmer number from 1 to 512. Addressing is set via a standard array of three 10-digit BCD switches (100s, 10s, and 1s) for fast, repeatable setup in repertory and touring rigs.

Power and System Compatibility

Connects via industry standard DMX / Accessory Power 4 Pin XLR cables and is compatible with Wybron Forerunner, Chroma Q, Rainbow, and Spectra Q power supplies*. Each DMX IRIS Power Supply will power 2 DMX IRIS units. An LED status indicator provides at-a-glance confirmation of operation.

Rig-Friendly Design

Units can daisy-chain to scrollers or other DMX Irises to simplify cabling. The iris closes down to 1/4", and the rugged steel chassis is designed for stage use. RoHS compliant and CE certified.
